separate and not equal
i've posted quite a few 'friends only' posts, here. my original intent was to continue to update my more "public" blog and keep the more personal stuff here. truth is that i have very little interest in sharing details of my personal life with coworkers and employees. i can keep my personal life personal and my professional life professional, but i recognize that not everyone can. (caveat: there are people i work with that i've connected with and do talk about my personal life with; even some that i only talk to while physically at work. that's just the exception, not the norm.) the 'future employer problem' is also something i think about.
the downside is that this approach requires "casual observers" to take the extra step of getting me to friend them. if there were a 'friends of friends' or '3 degrees of separation', that would be ideal. until that's the case, just friend me and i'll friend you back.
